The age old question, this or that, is it a boy, is it a girl. Well it was finally time for us to also find out. As you can imagine we had different opinions on what we want our baby’s gender to be. Once we got to the doctor’s office and waiting around we went through all the signs to try and guess before we knew the truth.
On a side note, did you notice that doctors are the worst at time managements. Seriously I’m starting to think it’s a conspiracy or a basic requirement to get into medical school. Can you be late all the time for everything ? If the answer is yes you’ll be an amazing doctor. How is it possible that you should be starting at 9 in the morning and when your first patient arrives they tell you that the previous patient examination is running late. How ??? I want to know! it’s just amazing how much they lack the sense of time in a protection where sometimes seconds can make the difference between life and death.
Anyways, back to today’s topic and trying to figure out the gender. Enough of me ranting how some people are incapable of reading the time. As I was saying, before we went in to the doctor’s office, and even before for a long time we were trying to guess the gender of the baby. If you didn’t know, there are many signs that can point you in the right direction. Or at least that’s what old people, witches and fortune tellers would tell you. No we didn’t really seek the insight of any of these type of people. It does make you wonder when you hear about these signs. Doesn’t matter how hard you try to resist, sooner or later, you’ll get drawn in.
You start looking for any signs you can find just to try and determine what science will tell you for sure. You just need to have a bit of patience. Me personally lack that ability so as a norm always want everything to happen now. So it started that I put on my Sherlock Holmes hat and started investigating. What is my pregnant wife eating, how is she reacting to certain situations, what shape is the baby belly taking. On and on it goes until you wake up one morning and realise you’re an imbecile because there’s no way that voodoo magic and fortune telling from the olden days will tell you. You just need to be patient and wait.
Once we managed to get into the office of the most punctual human alive, first question was, do you know ? Our reply was no we don’t. We were very curious to finally know if it’s this or that regarding our baby. What direction the scale will be tipped in. Once the ultrasound was turned on, we finally got our answer. In the end does it really matter though? Most important is that the baby is healthy, developing how it should and also the mother is fine and doing well.
